How We Worship

WBPC conducts traditional worship services.

A typical Order of Worship includes:

Organ/Piano Prelude;

Call to Worship;

Hymn;

Prayer of Confession ;

Assurance of Pardon;

Gloria Patria;

Choir Anthem;

 First Scripture Lesson;

Moment for Youth;

Announcements, Joys, and Concerns,

The Lord’s Prayer;

Sermon Hymn;

Offering;

Second Scripture Lesson;

Sermon/Reflection;

Closing Hymn;

Charge and Benediction.

    The Scripture lessons and Moment for Youth are presented

by members of the Congregation.  The service lasts about one hour.

    Christian Education Hour/Sunday School classes are Bible based and taught

by members of the Congregation.

    The Congregation participates in all special offerings

sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.):

One Great Hour of Sharing; Pentecost;

Peacemaking; Thanksgiving; and Christmas Joy.
